CAF Champions League 2009 - Young Africans No Match For Ahly Champions

Ahly Football Club of Egypt showed why they are six-time winners of the CAF
Champions' League when they beat the Young Africans of Tanzania 3-0 on March 15,
2009.
It is perhaps unfortunate for the Tanzanians that they had to meet the formidable Red Devils in Egypt, their
home tuff, rather than in Tanzania. Perhaps the drjubbing may have been a lot less had it been the other way around
with the match being played in Tanzania first.
The Egyptians controlled the game from the opening whistle to the end. The first goal for Egypt came within the
first minute of the game when Mohamed Barakat easily put the ball, passed to him by Ahmed Hassan, beyond the Young
Africans' goalie. At about 23 minutes into the game the Egyptians scored again when Flavio Amado found the back of
the Tanzanians' net. The third and last goal of the game came 8 minutes into the second half when Mohamed Barakat
scored again.
The Young Africans rallied late in the game, but it was to no avail.
