Hofstra University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Colonial Athletic Association, is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Head Strength and Conditioning coach.  This is a full-time, 12 month position.  Responsibilities include serving as the primary strength and conditioning coach for the Hofstra University Department of Athletics, designing, implementing and scheduling of year-round strength and conditioning programs for the basketball program, as well as other Olympic Sports’ programs. This position manages the daily operations of the strength facilities, the maintenance of a database of assigned student-athletes, assists with the testing of student-athletes, and other necessary duties pertaining to the oversight of the strength and conditioning area. This position oversees two full time assistants. Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Association, and the NCAA. 

Bachelor’s degree required.  Master’s degree in Exercise Science is preferred.  Two years’ experience preferred.  CSCS certification, SCCC certification and USAW Level I certification preferred. First Aid / CPR / AED certified by an accredited service provider.
