Position: Term Lecturer (non-tenure track), full-time in Studio Voice for the School of Music; Required Qualifications: Master of Music in performance. Soprano or mezzo-soprano. Experience studio teaching in a variety of styles at the collegiate level. Demonstrated ability to inspire music students and to work collegially with faculty. Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate or MFA. Experience teaching classical, CCM, and/or choral singers. Keyboard skills, active performing agenda, choral conducting experience, music or stage direction experience. Training in voice science and pedagogy. Duties: Teach studio voice to classical, music theater (CCM), and choral singers. Teach singer’s diction, opera workshop, voice class. Recruit voice students. Possible teaching duties may also include ensemble direction or song literature or other courses based on the needs of the department and qualifications of the candidate.
