Job Description

The Retirement Coordinator (a member of the Retirement Team which is part of Yum Total Rewards) will provide customer service support to active and former employees with questions or issues concerning the Yum! Retirement plans. Responsible for the timely and accurate handling of retirement cases (could be Defined Benefit and/or Defined Contribution) as well as assisting the department with other projects as assigned. This position may also lead annual procedures such as termination calculations and audits.

  • 30% Coordinates cases for the Retirement Team. Duties include: contacting the customer, determining the appropriate information is gathered, create electronic documents, process incoming and outgoing mail. Research missing data or data discrepancies.
  • 40% Responsible for performing accurate and timely analysis and benefit calculations for the Yum Retirement Plans, primarily qualified benefits. Work includes analyzing eligibility, employment history and compensation for employees including researching missing data or any discrepancies such as missing salaries, hours worked, breaks in service, prior payouts, acquisitions, divestitures, transfers between the brands, including International, and/or changes in employment status (hourly vs. salaried) and applying appropriate plan provisions to calculate employee benefits. Includes leadership of annual procedures such as term calculation project and audits. Includes preparation of retirement estimates.
  • 20% Assist the DC Plans Analyst with any support of 401k as needed including reporting and analysis.
  • 10% Assists retirement team with the implementation of new processes or systems as well as any other special projects that arise.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in business, mathematics, finance, actuarial sciences or a combination of education and work experience that enables performance of all aspects of position
. Experience:
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in retirement area preferred, or strong analytical background
  • Detail-oriented, logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Must have ability to multi-task and work well in fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information
  • Customer service experience and ability to deal positively with call resolution appreciated
