Discover Your Career at Emory University: Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future. We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. Description:

To support the increasing diverse student body, the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing has established the Teaching Equity and Inclusion Fellowship for early career nurse educators/scholars. Faculty from diverse backgrounds are sought for the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor within the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing (NHWSN), who will spend the first year of their faculty appointment as an Equity and Inclusion Teaching Fellow focused on teaching excellence. Our commitment to an inclusive culture and a diverse nursing faculty is fundamental in realizing our goals to excel in nursing education and contribute to national efforts to address faculty shortage and health care needs of the increasingly diverse U.S. population. The NHWSN Equity and Inclusion Teaching Fellowship is designed to optimize the fellow’s success in a primarily teaching-focused (non-tenure track) academic position. The fellowship will have four primary areas of focus: 1) nurse educator competencies, 2) leadership in the academy, 3) scholarship in the academy, and 4) life-long mentorship development to advance diversity. Based on qualifications, Fellows selected for the position will be appointed as Assistant Clinical Professor and spend 60% effort in teaching and scholarship and 40% effort focused on equity and inclusion teaching fellowship activities including professional development and mentoring in the tripartite areas of teaching, scholarship, and service. Upon completion of the 12-month fellowship, individuals will transition to a customary Assistant Clinical Professor workload and responsibilities.
