Instructor - Entrepreneurship Application Deadline: Position Details: The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Texas Christian University (TCU) invites applications and nominations for a full-time Instructor position within the Neeley School of Business. The faculty line requires a master’s in entrepreneurship or a closely related field and is not a tenure-track position. The position entails teaching at the undergraduate and MBA level, providing high-level service to the University and discipline, interacting with business leaders, and performing other faculty responsibilities. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to enhancing the professional environment in the Neeley School. It is desired for candidates to have relevant experience in the practice and/or teaching of entrepreneurship. The role requires all aspects of course management, including the creation of new course materials. Evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is preferred. The position includes service responsibilities, such as: undergraduate and graduate curriculum/program development, university, school and department committees, and other duties as needed. Applicants will not be evaluated on the basis of their research and there are no expectations of research productivity for re-appointment, but discipline-based research is valued and there are pathways for related support. Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to work with others are important. The teaching load and salary are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and will be determined in consultation with the dean. There are opportunities for summer teaching. Department Details: In recent years, the department’s programs have been ranked in the top 25 by U.S. News & World Report, Princeton Review/Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, Poets & Quants, and Business Insider. The department’s primary academic programs include an undergraduate business major and minor in entrepreneurship and innovation, and an MBA emphasis in entrepreneurship and innovation. These programs are supported by a number of co-curricular activities offered through the TCU Neeley Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, including the Values and Ventures Business Plan Competition, CREATE - Powered by Shaddock Seed Fund, Entrepreneurial Intern Scholars Program, Innovative Teachers Guild, Venture Builder, Horned Frog Investment Network, and Entrepreneurship Club. Our faculty regularly publish in, and have editorial roles on, leading entrepreneurship journals (e.g., Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice) and general management journals (e.g., Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Management).
