Description
Pace University invites applications for an anticipated tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Psychology of the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences of Pace University to begin September, 2024. The position is located at the University’s campus in lower Manhattan.

This position involves primarily teaching courses in the Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology Program, with opportunities to be involved in the PhD School Psychology Program &/or PhD Clinical Psychology (Health Emphasis) program. Limited opportunities for teaching at the masters or undergraduate level may be available.

The Department offers five graduate programs (Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology, Ph.D. in School Psychology, Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology: Health Emphasis, M.S.Ed. in School Psychology, and M.A. in Psychology), two undergraduate programs (B.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Applied Psychology and Human Relations), and a combined B.A./M.A. program. The Psy.D. program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) as a combined professional-scientific psychology program and also approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

Requirements
The successful candidate must have an earned Ph.D. or Psy.D. in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a combined degree from an APA accredited training program and must be licensed in New York State (or be eligible for licensure).

The position requires a demonstrated ability to develop a strong program of research that involves students with potential for grant funding and experience in evidence-based practice is expected. A commitment to ethical guidelines, social justice, equity, and supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds in the field of psychology is fundamental. Candidates with research areas focused on and/or records of service aimed at supporting populations that experience marginalization/stigmatization are particularly desirable.
