Job Description: The Director for Reporting, Donor and Data Analytics is responsible for the preparation and presentation of data analysis, statistical trends, predictive modeling and comparative data related to advancement efforts at Arcadia University. The Director will initiate and manage projects around the analysis of internal and external data, providing engagement strategies, prospect cultivation and marketing campaigns. The Director will be experienced and fluent in the import and export of large amounts of data for extraction, analysis, and preparation of reports that include database information, statistics, web/social media trends and financial figures. Actively promotes trust in and ensures accuracy of data, its integrity for reporting, analysis, and presentation.

Responsibilities:

Analyze broad data sets in search of information useful to the forward movement of University Advancement (UA) functions. Responsible for the development of custom reports, using query tools (e.g., Power BI, Crystal, SQL, etc.) in support of UA activities in fundraising, engagement, and donor marketing. Use Arcadia's constituent database (Raiser's Edge NXT), as well as other analysis tools to develop both ad hoc queries, canned reports and key performance indicators, provide analysis to identify and segment target populations and support a broad range of business decisions. Reports range from executive dashboards to detailed department data to broad comparisons of data among peer and aspirant schools.
Develop new predictive models in support of business needs and methodologies to test the effectiveness of models and division strategies. Utilize statistical approaches to conduct data modeling projects to assist with strategic planning initiatives.
Work with internal customers to better understand their informational/business needs and conceive innovative analytical approaches to addressing business challenges. Supports user training of existing platform or a new CRM, including its implementation, including conversion oversight and responsibility. Create accurate, timely, and high-quality written reports and graphical presentations compiling and synthesizing this information appropriate to the audience. Have the ability to communicate analysis and reports to audiences with a range of technical and analytic abilities.
Utilize research tools commonly used by prospect research staff, and support the efforts of research staff in developing new tools to identify, analyze and prioritize prospects.
Stay abreast of current and emerging trends in philanthropy, fundraising, higher education and business intelligence. Utilize financial information from public sources and indices to provide appropriate benchmarking and meaningful analysis. Gather, maintain, and present secondary data relating to peer institutions' individual and institutional giving for benchmarking, tracking, and strategic planning purposes. This individual is responsible for the collective, reporting and dissemination of national survey data such as CASE, CASE-VSE benchmarks.
Serve on division and university committees and project teams as well as being a proficient and effective project manager on cross-functional and cross-team projects.
Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree required; Degree in information systems, business, or related field preferred.
4-7 years of progressively responsible professional experience with strong preference for candidates with previous fundraising database management
Experience in higher education or non-profit organizations.

Possess knowledge of development practices, gift processing, gift accounting, timely gift posting, donor data processes, and fundraising techniques including current best practices in development, annual giving, database, and alumni engagement.
Ability to work occasional evening and weekend work
