Institution SD School of Mines The successful applicant must have an earned doctorate in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Candidates with specialties in all areas of Industrial Engineering are encouraged to apply. The Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management graduate and undergraduate programs at South Dakota Mines have an established reputation for outstanding teaching and instruction. The new faculty member will be expected to excel at teaching undergraduate and graduate courses including online-distance courses. In addition, our department is focused on expanding graduate-level research. A successful candidate will be expected to initiate and sustain a nationally recognized, externally funded research program. The Industrial Engineering Department has grown substantially over the past 10 years and currently serves approximately 150 undergraduate and 50 graduate students. The department offers an ABET accredited B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, an online M.S. degree in Engineering Management and an on-campus MS degree in Industrial Engineering. In addition, our faculty participate in multidisciplinary Ph.D. programs in Data Science and Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
