The Daniels School of Business is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Associate Director of Diversity Initiatives to enhance diversity and inclusion within the School. The Associate Director will primarily support The Dr. Cornell A. Bell Business Opportunity Program (BOP), furthering its mission, meeting goals, and program growth. This position will assist the Director of Diversity Initiatives with the general operations of BOP, including (but not limited to) marketing, student recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students, coaching and mentoring, and administration for new and ongoing programs. The Associate Director will substitute for the Director in the classroom, meetings, recruitment events, and other matters when needed. This position will also support student success initiatives designed for the entire community of historically underrepresented minority students in the School of Business.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree
4 years of professional work experience
Prior experience working with teenagers, pre-college, or undergraduate students
One year of experience in an industry/corporation setting
High degree of professionalism and knowledge of corporate culture
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
Tendency to be detail-oriented
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate student learning, network with alumni, and interact with corporate recruiters
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of an appreciation for inclusion, including the ability to work with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds and identities
Ability to work some nights and weekends that are occasionally required by the nature of BOP programs and services

Preferred:

Master’s degree
