Job Title Visiting Assistant Professor-Scenic and Lighting Design Posting Number P1602F Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The Department of Theatre and Dance at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, invites applications for a 9-month, full-time non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor of Scenic and Lighting Design beginning August 16, 2024. This position includes a course load of six (6) assignments over the course of the academic year (3:3 load) through a combination of teaching in foundational, intermediate, and advanced design courses in the areas of scenic and lighting design and equivalent design assignments within our mainstage season. Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate must possess a MFA in Scenic Design, Lighting Design or an applicable field at the time employment begins. Ideal candidates will have previous teaching experience at the collegiate level as well as professional design/production experience.
The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
