Adjunct, Mathematics

Position Description

The Mathematics Department at Seattle University is inviting applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in mathematics. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching one or more of the department’s classes, ranging from college algebra to differential equations. Lecture courses typically meet on MWF or TTh. At least two hours of office hours per class, per week are typical.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have an PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science, and teaching experience across multiple areas of Mathematics is preferred.

Compensation at a Glance:

Salary Range: $1,100 - $1,300 per work unit

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.
