About This Role:

The coordinator will lead the development and implementation of many evening and weekend campus events for students; work on activities to enhance the growth and development of all students by providing social and educational opportunities to engage all students in our community.

What You’ll Do – Position Duties

Work closely with Recreational Sports to do collaborative programming in the intramural field, residence life pool/ outdoor activities in the residence hall courtyards and volleyball/basketball sand courts.
Works with the other programming staff in Setzer for student involvement and programming that includes Cardinals Activities Board (CAB) and commuter programs.
Will work with Scheduling, Reservations and Operations to schedule and provide support to an event.
Hire, train, develop, and supervise 6-8 student staff members set-up and assist in student activities and campus programming. ·
Develop brief programming for students during the Student Engagement hours (Tues/Thur)
Develop and coordinate programs that support the student experience, targeting students during the evenings and weekends.
Follow trends and guidelines from the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), Association of College Unions International (ACUI) and Council for Advancement of Standards (CAS) in Higher Education
Manage the preparation and execution of the programming budgets and maintenance of financial records for assigned accounts.
Must work collaboratively with on and off campus agencies, and other departments to achieve objectives.
Develop and coordinate programs that support the student experience, targeting students during the evenings and weekends.
Participates in a rotation of event coverage for evening and weekend events.
Assist in coordinating, planning, and operating signature campus-wide student events, such as Homecoming, tailgates, Movie Nights on the Intramural Field, Courtyards in the Residence Halls, involvement fairs, etc.
Assist New Student & Leadership Programs in Welcome Week for Fall and Spring. ·
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Ability to work in a complex organization which provides co-curricular programs and activities that are essential to student community; an understanding of how the student union interacts with student and recreational activities functions as a part of Student Engagement and the University at-large. Demonstrate skills in working with Recreational Sports & Housing & Residence Life in offering programs and events for students

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
One year of related experience. preferably at a college or university. Adept at being a leader and a hands-on contributor. Demonstrates a strong understanding of student organizations, their role, and regulations governing them.
