Job Summary The position is responsible for assisting the daily operation of the Compliance Department to include monitoring and rules education program as well as preparing and completing various NCAA forms, documents and reports for coaches, student-athletes and staff.
Job Duties & Responsibilities The Compliance Director assumes the following roles:
Demonstrate knowledge of NCAA Division I rules, interpretations and rules education. Assist with the daily operation of the athletics compliance office. Coordinate the National Letter of Intent Track and retrieve transfer tracers Track and monitor initial eligibility Roster management of all intercollegiate athletic programs Monitor recruiting logs, playing and practice season logs Be available to work nights and weekends Manage athletic scholarship budget Assist with the scholarship renewal process Monitor complimentary ticket process and assist with player will-call on game day Assist with the preparation of waivers, and potential rules violations investigations as needed Monitor and keep NCAA Compliance Assistant updated Assist in the management and distribution of books Assist with the outreach to campus resources such as First Year Experience, Disability Support related to student-athletes Qualifications Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree is required One to Five years of experience in compliance or related field (may include graduate assistantship or experience as a student-athlete) Effective written/oral communication Must be computer literate Must have knowledge of NCAA Division 1 Bylaws Handle confidential matters professionally as it relates to the Department of Athletics Preferred: Master’s Degree Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics and/or an administrative assistant
