Job Summary/Basic Functions

To enable superior Technology Services (TS) delivery ad service availability across the VSU Enterprise by mastering customer engagement, digital transformation, security, governance and streamlining initiatives that continually administer to student success, academia diversity, and the needs ad desires of the TS lines of business.

The IT Service Asset and Configuration Manager provides the overall responsibility for ensuring the suitability of the Service Asset and Configuration Management process to the organization. Accountable for the execution of the Process (directly perform or delegate responsibilities). Includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, receiving the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits and managing the process improvement cycle. Responsible for managing the change queue and ensuring changes are made efficiently, with minimum risk to the organization. Assist the Deputy CIO in managing Information Technology services and critical business functions to improve the educational continuity for VSU.

Minimum Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrated expertise on System and application Log Analysis;

- Strong knowledge of Group Policy management;

- Strong planning and organizational skills;

- Solid skills in desktop management and software distribution in industry standard CMDB;

- Solid technical expertise in managing and maintaining Active Directory, Windows and IOS environments.

- Ability to design optimal IT Service Asset and Configurations for global operations;

- Experience in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, InTune, JAMF, and/or PowerShell scripting, and/or SQL Server and SQL query language ;

- Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and be adept at tactfully managing a wide array of customers and their needs.

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities required;

- Demonstrated ability to independently judge when responding to project, system, or individual requests where decision making and actions are based on expertise and experience;

- Ability to provide a consistently high level of customer service and reduce technical information to simple language;

- Knowledge of and compliance with all necessary rules, regulations, standards and laws;

- Ability to clearly document issues so that they may be easily interpreted by other staff;

- ITIL Foundations Certification and Change Management required;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as:

- Occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds

Working conditions:

- Work is usually performed in a well-lit, temperature controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.

Additional Considerations:

- Experience in a Higher Education environment preferred;

- Master's degree highly preferred or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field;

- Minimum of 5+ years' of solid and proven experience administering and developing within the industries current ITSM Suites;

- MECM/InTune, JAMF and CAMP certification is a plus.
