Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to enroll new students at the Undergraduate level. The Admissions Counselor will travel within their assigned territory to deliver presentations and distribute admission materials to prospective students. In addition, their assigned duties include but not limited to:

• Support the Assistant Director of Recruitment with fulfilling office needs as assigned.
• Conduct Admissions presentations and campus tours to improve visibility with potential
applicants and throughout the community.
• Recruit first time students through consistent engagement and communication campaigns.
and engage with all prospective students at the high school level to create a pipeline for
admissions.
• Assist prospective students with submitting appropriate supplemental items and ensured
accurate processing and evaluation of applications.
• Facilitate interdepartmental communication with Financial Aid, Academic Advisement,
Registrar, and various campus offices to ensure a consistent and smooth transition from
applicant to student.
• Develop knowledge of hardware and software technologies commonly used within a
higher education environment on both the MacOS and Windows platforms.
• Support Senior Admissions team members in strategic efforts to increase the applicants
while reducing the timeline for admits.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to acquire and master new skills and technologies.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree.
Experience working with students in a college or university setting.
Ability to travel out of state frequently.
Must be able to work occasionally after hours and/or weekends.

Additional Considerations:

Working knowledge of the CRM, Banner, & EAB.
