Purpose of Position
The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Dakota is seeking a Teaching Assistant Professor in mathematics. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track position contingent on availability of funding.

The Mathematics Department is housed in the College of Arts & Sciences and currently offers a BS in Mathematics, MS and MEd in Mathematics, and MS in Applied Statistics.

Duties & Responsibilities
The successful applicant will receive a contract with an approximate distribution of 95% teaching and 5% service effort. Teach undergraduate courses in mathematics
Work collaboratively with other Mathematics Department faculty to achieve consistent and high-quality learning environments
Required Competencies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to teach, inspire, and mentor students
Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students
Ability to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues within and outside the Department of Mathematics
Competent in using technology and ability to adopt new tools for both on-campus and online course delivery.
Minimum Requirements
Earned M.S. in Mathematics by August 15, 2024.
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Teaching experience at the undergraduate level
Experience teaching both in-person and online
Experience with course development for an online environment, especially using asynchronous delivery methods
