Position Title Equity Compliance Officer Job Type Full Time - 12 months Department Diversity Equity & Inclusion Job Location Crete, NE (68333) Position Summary Doane University, a liberal arts university with campuses located in Crete, Lincoln, and an Omaha Location invites applications for the position of Equity Compliance Officer on our Crete Campus. The Equity Compliance Officer will ensure university compliance with the sexual harassment policy (Title IX) and the university’s non-discrimination policy (i.e. Titles VI and VII) and will provide support with other state and federal civil rights laws and regulations as applicable, including the administration of the affirmative action plan.
The position oversees reports and complaints, supportive measures, mediation of formal and informal complaints, fair and neutral case investigation and resolution processes, and review and updates of relevant university policies. Reporting to the Vice President of the Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and coordinating with the Human Resources Department when necessary, the Equity Compliance Officer will also serve as a leader in educating and training the university community on Title IX and non-discrimination matters and assisting in prevention and outreach efforts as applicable. Experience in Title IX and non-discrimination compliance is strongly preferred, including experience conducting investigations with knowledge of a trauma-informed process.
