Affiliate teaching assignments are not guaranteed but are assigned on the basis of departmental and university requirements. Individual contracts are given per course for these assignments. Continued teaching contracts are not guaranteed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Affiliate Faculty are contracted per course as needed to be course instructors.
Degree programs are delivered full semester (14 week), 7 week accelerated, and weekend intensive formats. Teaching these courses requires a great deal of student preparation and work outside of the formal classroom environment. Classes are small, ranging from 8 to 18 students, so students can interact and receive personalized attention. Minimum Qualifications:

-Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related mental health profession;

-Significant work experience in fields related to the courses they are credentialed to teach;

-A strong identity as a Couple/Marriage and Family Therapist;

-A current mental health license in the state of Colorado;

-Must be an AAMFT Approved Supervisor or AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate to teach any clinical courses in the program.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Ph.D in Marriage and Family Therapy from a COAMFTE accredited program; -Past graduate level teaching experience;

-An understanding and willingness to associate with Jesuit principles of pedagogy

-Experience in teaching Cultural Issues, Ethics and Legal Issues, MFT Theories, and Diagnosis and Assessment.

This position is benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Pay Rate:
Instructors with a Master’s Degree are paid per $3,750 per course contract; Instructors with a Doctorate Degree are paid $4,200 per course contract
