Job Summary:
The Anderson College of Business and Computing at Regis University in Denver, Colorado invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach economics courses and possibly a finance course starting in Fall of 2024. At the rank of Assistant Professor, the selected candidate is expected to teach six courses (18 credits) each academic year. Successful candidates will show potential for excellent teaching and noteworthy scholarship in their discipline. Field of expertise is open.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary Duties

Design, develop, and teach courses at the undergraduate level in the face-to-face, day-time, semester (16-week) program.May teach in online or evening formats on request.

Maintain currency in the field of economics through scholarship, such as peer-reviewed publications, presentations at conferences, and other scholarly activities. Candidates should meet our AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) expectations of four intellectual contributions within the preceding five years.Recent doctoral graduates will have up to five years to meet these expectations.

Conduct service to the college and university, which includes attending department meetings, serving on college committees, and supporting students.

Conduct service to the community, profession and/or discipline. This service may include serving on editorial boards, participating in industry groups, and/or being a journal reviewer.

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with position and experience.

Start-Date: August 1, 2024

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a PhD in economics or a related field. Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.

A research agenda that demonstrates currency in the discipline.

Ability to design, develop, and teach courses in economics and general courses in finance.

Pay Rate:
$71,000 - $94,000 / annually commensurate with qualifications.
