Position Vacancy Announcement Florida A&M University's Career and Professional Development Center is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Office Manager vacancy within the Division of Student Affairs. Responsibilities The Office Manager will be directly responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to the Career and Professional Development Center. This position will assist the Director with the day-to-day administrative duties such as scheduling meetings and training's; Arranges calendars and business trips; Oversees the departments budget, creates invoices, purchase orders; Orders office supplies and track inventory; Coordinates, trains, supervises and evaluates the workload of support staff; and coordinates special events and activities. Among other duties requested, this position will also create confidential employee files, complete mailing and shipping, process public records requests and employment verification's; Routes and responds to questions from students, parents, staff and visitors; Provides basic information, such as location of departments and/or offices, employees, or services provided; Provides excellent customer service by responding in a professional, courtesy, cordial and respectful manner at all times; and scans, redacts and files documents electronically using the Colleges document management systems. Office Operations and Procedures - Manages the general administrative and support functions for the Office of Staff Development and Training to include purchasing, travel, meeting/event planning, marketing, coordinating new positions for hire, timesheets, monthly reports, payroll activities, etc.; Partners with HR to maintain office policies as necessary; Organizes office operations and procedures; Coordinates with IT department on all office equipment; Participates actively in the planning and execution of company events; and responsible for developing standards and promoting activities that enhance operational procedures. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalency and five years of related experience; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years. Excellent communication and multi-tasking skill; and
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Anticipated Salary Range The salary range is between $35,000.00 to $37,000.00.
Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.
