Reports To: Camp Director
Supervises: Campers ages 3-12
Rate: $18-20/hour

Principal Responsibilities
As primary caregivers to each camper, the counselor coordinates and carries out activities in support of a camper's experience.
The counselor:
• Assists with direction, supervision, organization and engagement of campers within the camp setting
• Participates in development and execution of activities
• Escorts campers to classes, recreation, mealtime and participates in their supervision
• Maintains high standards of health and safety in all campers and staff
• Serve as a role model to campers and staff in comportment
• Represents the camp when interacting with parents and community
• Assesses appropriateness of campers’ behavior and reports issues to Camp Director.
• Works collaboratively with all Camp staff

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
High school diploma; college education preferred.
Experience in camping and in supervising children.
Complete required DOH and camp training.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with children of all ages.
