Faculty - Instructor or Assistant Professor, Computer Science Carlow University is currently accepting applications for the position of Instructor/Assistant Professor of Computer Science beginning August 2024. The Department of Computational and Chemical Sciences invites applications for a full-time instructor or assistant professor position in Computer Science. This is a nine-month, full-time academic appointment to begin in Fall 2024. Academic rank will be commensurate with education and experience. Applicants with expertise in software development are especially encouraged to apply. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses in our newly launched B.S. in Computer Science, with a focus on courses in user experience, app development, data structures and algorithms, and accessible web design. Courses will primarily be taught face-to-face, with possible online courses as well. Candidates should expect a teaching load of five days per week on campus. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in computer science, UI/UX design, software design, or another related discipline is required, though a Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates must have at least one year of teaching experience in higher education, especially with diverse populations of undergraduates.
