Outreach & Prevention Coordinator Job Description Summary The Outreach & Prevention Coordinator assists with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-informed mental health and well-being education programs at the Center for Student Mental Health & Well-being (CSMHW). The coordinator’s focus is on educating students on mental health and well-being, suicide prevention, peer support, and stress management while encouraging the student community to utilize resources and learn about habits that promote a healthy mindset. The coordinator fosters collaborative relationships within the campus and the local community to develop and support a prevention-conscious culture. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) • Plan and promote campus mental health and well-being initiatives, prevention programming, and events for students to encourage mental health and well-being. Required Education, Certifications, Licensures (minimum requirements) ● Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Required Experience (minimum requirements) ● Experience in program development, implementation, promotion, and Desirable Education and/or Experience ● Master's degree in Exercise Science, Health Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities (minimum requirements) ● Experience in using personal computers, email, calendars, word Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities ● Student knowledge: knowledge of generational college students and the ability to design generation- and audience-specific programs/events/services. ● Demonstrated success in, or potential future contributions to, working with persons from diverse backgrounds, creating a sense of belonging, and fostering a fair, objective, welcoming place to work for persons with a wide variety of personal characteristics and viewpoints. ** Work Environment and/or Physical Demands
