The CAST (Creativity, the Arts, and Social Transformation) Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for the CAST 170a, Documenting Immigrant Experiences (4 credits) course in Fall 2024. This multidisciplinary course introduces students to both documentary filmmaking and the lived experiences of members of local immigrant communities. The class meets on Wednesdays from 5:40-8:35 pm.

Candidates who have directed documentary films, taught documentary filmmaking at the college level, and have conducted research about and with Boston-area Muslim immigrant communities will be given preference. (This year’s class will focus on the experiences of members of local Muslim immigrant communities.) 

This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
