Job Description

The Senior Manager of Infrastructure Architecture develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet the organization's operational performance and availability goals. This role is responsible for work that is less defined in scope and one utilize knowledge and experience to execute business objectives, and can affect short and long-term business goals.


  • Responsible for a 3-5 year strategic vision for Yum! global network, including review and assessment of emerging technologies. Develops effective strategies that consider technical innovation, business strategy, consumer touch points, risk, and affordability.
  • Balanced focus on critical dimensions such as people, process, technology, and business
  • Ability to identify business needs and use them to drive strategy and processes
  • Develop supporting business cases for new technologies and initiatives to communicate business benefits to senior management and across functions.
  • Responsible for developing future leaders by interviewing, coaching, mentoring, and training at various levels.
  • Develop relationships to drive results with peers, external partners, and customers. Maintain a close working relationship with brand IT teams, to define technology objectives to meet business requirements.
  • Apply creative thinking skills to solve challenging business issues and gain alignment with peers and cross-functional teams
  • Able to stretch outside of the network and infrastructure discipline and contribute to broader technology initiatives.
  • Define and manage network operations for Yum! within the US and internationally.
  • Provide technical direction to operation teams in support of business issues to ensure successful implementation of technology standards and processes.
  • Work with various teams including PH, KFC, Taco Bell, and Yum! to build and maintain a high performance network.
  • Manage and work with outside resources to lead and prioritize work.
  • Partner with vendors to escalate issues for quick problem resolution
  • Ability to lead large enterprise-wide projects. Must display a high degree of proficiency in project management techniques, including time estimates, resource allocations, project status updates and managing critical path and milestone deadlines.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts
Master's Degree a plus

EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications):
  • 10+ years' experience in Information Technology
  • 5+ years of hands-on Sr. Network Engineering/Architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in successfully driving operations for a large business firm.
  • 3+ years of experience in leadership positions within IT
  • 3+ years of intergrading Unified Communication technologies into network (Office 365/Skype/Exchange)
  • Advanced Network certification (CCNP/CCIE) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of various system, network, and security practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies.
  • Experience managing and influencing vendors and consultants.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong leader with the ability to add value quickly to cross functional teams.
  • Collaborates easily with direct reports, peers, and senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral. Must be able to distill technical material down into a message understood across the enterprise.
  • Some global travel and/or short-term or permanent assignments possible.
