POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the HR Specialist, the HR Coordinator for data validation performs various Human Resources activities to support the HR Specialist with maintaining the integrity of data entered the Human Capital Management (HCM) pillar which includes the following:

- Assist the HR Specialist with the reconciliation of audit reports and provide support during the ongoing transition to Payroll Interface.
- Assist with position management in the CUNYfirst system to comply with OHRM regulations and update position data with Payserv position numbers.
- Assist with daily data input of position management related to hires, reappointments, revisions terminations and retirements.
- Troubleshoot various issues that arises in CUNYfirst with the coordinators.
- Maintain data integrity by working closely with HR staff to ensure accurate entries, utilize the “Correct History” functionality when necessary and run various reports.
- Assist with upload of Mass Reappointment activities during key periods in the academic and fiscal year.
- Manage and update the college’s HR Access employment system.
- Monitor and respond to CUNY First related inquires in the HR Mail Box.
- Assist employees with navigating and understanding the CUNY First Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) functionality as needed.
- Assist HR staff with changes to data input processes after the implementation of Payroll Interface.
- Update the employee evaluation tracking system.
- Act as backup for the HR Specialist.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Excel and Word
- Proficient in PeopleSoft Oracle based systems such as CUNYFirst
- High degree of professionalism and personal integrity to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team setting with diverse staff of all levels
- Detail oriented, self-directed, motivated and proactive
- Strong data analytical and evaluative skills
- One year experience working in a higher education setting preferred

- Maintains an understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements relevant to human resources

- Organizes and processes employee information; develops and maintains reports and queries; assures data accuracy and completeness

- Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries

- Assists HR managers with employee communications of all kinds; may prepare materials, conduct orientation sessions, or update web pages

- Performs related duties as assigned.
