The Department of Theatre, Film, and Digital Production seeks to hire a qualified lecturer to teach one section of TFDP 166B – Screenwriting: Outline to First Draft, in both the Winter 2019 and Spring 2019 quarters. The lecturer will teach undergraduate students in this course the fundamentals of screenwriting, including story development, plotting, and characterization as they are used in creating a complete script for television or feature film.

The appointment will be for two quarters, January 7 - March 22, 2019 (Winter) and April 1 – June 14, 2019 (Spring) with a salary of approx. $6081 for each course. Positions are contingent upon funding.

Required Qualifications: MA, MFA or Ph.D. in screenwriting or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years equivalent professional experience. Teaching experience at the university level is desired.
