Data Manager University of Vermont - Burlington, VT
Coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting processes for a quality improvement research network of primary care practices led by the Vermont Child Health Improvement Program (VCHIP). Assist in the design and implementation of data management systems in collaboration with program leadership including creating and modifying data collection tools and managing project databases. Oversee data extraction from paper and electronic medical records in each participating practice, train data collection personnel and perform data validation and cleaning procedures. Conduct descriptive analyses on new and existing datasets and write detailed reports on evaluation methods and results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Troubleshoot problems during the data collection process and identify solutions to meet research objectives. Ensure confidentiality of research materials and compliance with applicable regulations.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor’s degree in health or social sciences (e.g. psychology, public health, nursing, biology) and four to five years’ of research and data management experience required. Experience with statistical analysis software, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases required. Experience conducting descriptive analysis required. Effective project management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required. Ability to travel statewide on a regular basis required. Ability to work after hours and on weekends occasionally required.
Desirable Qualifications Experience with REDCap, Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS, and STATA software highly desirable. Experience cleaning, analyzing, and reporting on maternal and child health data from multiple sources highly desirable.
