The Southeastern Theatre Conference, Inc. (SETC) was founded in 1949 to serve the theatre community in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Today, SETC is a national theatre service membership organization made up of the ten constituent southeastern states and serving theatre practitioners and organizations in professional, college and university, youth, secondary school and community theatre settings. SETC services, publications, and programs contribute significantly to the careers of emerging artists, seasoned professionals and academicians, energizing the practical, intellectual and creative profile of theatre in America. SETC has an annual budget of $1.5 million and an endowment of $1 million. Its membership of over 4200 individuals and over 400 organizations is served year-round by a central office located at 1175 Revolution Mill Drive, Studio 14, Greensboro, NC 27405. |
