Lecturer, Philosophy The Philosophy Department at Bentley University (Waltham, MA) invites applications for a full-time lecturer position. The position is a permanent non-tenure-track appointment, renewable yearly, contingent upon satisfactory performance and instructional need. Competitive salary and full benefit package offered. The standard course load for a lecturer is eight courses per year. AOS: Open. AOC: Ethics and the History of Philosophy. The Philosophy Department offers courses in all areas of philosophy, including the field’s theoretical, practical, and applied dimensions. We offer Major and Minor degrees and teach in the Minor in Ethics and Compliance as well as the Environmental, Social, and Governance Minor. We seek to support our students’ intellectual growth by actively engaging with them outside the classroom, for example through the Bentley Philosophy Club. The department members undertake research in various areas of philosophy.
