Job Description Summary

The Office of the University Registrar supports the academic operations of the university. The team works with colleagues across campus to ensure a seamless academic experience for students. The Registrar’s Office is responsible for the maintenance of academic records, academic scheduling and registration, management of the degree audit system, and the issuance of diplomas and transcripts. Additionally, the Registrar’s Office supports the faculty governance process in the development of or changes to courses, programs, and academic policies.

Reporting to the Associate Registrar for Academic Scheduling and Registration Management, the Assistant Registrar, Catalog and Compliance will oversee the editorial process and publication of the Undergraduate Catalogue and Graduate Catalogue. This role will also support administrative functions related to several faculty governance processes, including the implementation of academic policies and curricular changes. Further, the position assists with the university’s compliance with federal enrollment reporting guidelines.
Essential Duties

Plan and execute the annual catalogue editorial review and publishing processes, including development of workflows to increase efficiency, and serving as a liaison to campus stakeholders who participate in the review process.
Create, edit, and verify enrollment reports for the National Student Clearinghouse in accordance with Title IV enrollment reporting best practices.
Create Academic Calendar for approval of calendar committee.
Train and guide staff on the CourseLeaf curriculum and catalogue systems.
Assist in course and program configuration in Workday and CourseLeaf.
Keeps current on class schedule policies and procedures and relays information to Associate Registrar for Curriculum and Scheduling.
Oversee the administrative functions of the faculty curriculum committees, ensuring timely and accurate course, program, and policy review and decisions.
Supports development and implementation efforts to effect change in policies and procedures and facilitate campus-wide initiatives.
Other Duties

Assist with the content development and publication on the Registrar’s website.
Assist with University commencement activities.
Support Registrar initiatives by ensuring the highest level of continuous process improvement, integrity, documentation, and compliance standards within the unit.
Support innovations and upgrades of the systems (i.e., Workday, CourseLeaf) through development, testing, and rolling out to the community.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of related work experience.
Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
Ability to write, proofread, and edit policy language in a clear and concise manner
Strong ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments.
Experience meeting project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a higher education academic environment.
Demonstrated skills in preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondence and other written materials.
Work Environment

Hybrid work schedule available
Office setting, occasional evening and weekend work is required.
Requires some long periods of sitting or standing and use of computer.
