The YSU Division of Chemistry in the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences is comprised of 12 full-time tenure track faculty, 2 lecturers, 4 staff members, over 50 majors in its BS and BA programs and an active MS program with 14 students. The department is exceptionally well-equipped in research instrumentation, and offers a rich, hands-on ‘learning through research’ experience for its students. As part of the College of STEM, the department also participates in the YSU Ph.D. program in Materials Science & Engineering. Qualifications and Competencies Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D in Physical Chemistry or closely related discipline by the time of appointment. Preferred Qualifications: Post-doctoral and teaching experience; expertise in computational chemistry; strengths in the areas of materials, biochemistry, inorganic, organic, and/or physical chemistries, and additive manufacturing. | |
