The Department of Criminal Justice at Xavier University is seeking an experienced, innovative, and motivated full-time, non-tenure track candidate to teach undergraduate and graduate courses beginning in the fall of 2024. Undergraduate courses have a traditional on-campus structure, and graduate courses are 100% online. Candidates with expertise in multiple specialist areas and the flexibility to teach in a variety of subject areas across our bachelor's and master's programs are highly desirable. Successful candidates will likely teach foundation courses related to the criminal justice system and the courts, juvenile justice, and criminal justice administration. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Candidates are expected to contribute to the implementation, revision, and/or development of courses or curricula. Candidates will also assess students' learning and provide academic advice to undergraduate majors. This will be an early-career, community-engaged faculty position. Community-engaged faculty hires form a cohort that shares strategies for incorporating new practices into your classes while also promoting Ignatian pedagogical principles.

Qualifications:

At least a master’s degree in criminal justice or related fields is required with at least five years of professional experience or a Ph.D. in criminal justice or related fields.
