Salary Range: $48,986.00 To 86,115.00 Annually The High School Media and Technology Teacher is responsible for instructing students in the use of media tools, digital technologies, and multimedia production techniques. They design and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate principles of media literacy, digital citizenship, and technology integration across various subject areas. The teacher facilitates hands-on learning experiences, including video production, audio recording, graphic design, and website development, to foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills among students. Additionally, they collaborate with other educators to integrate technology into curriculum planning and provide support for teachers and students in accessing and utilizing digital resources effectively. The High School Media and Technology Teacher also plays a key role in promoting digital literacy and responsible technology use within the school community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Media Studies, Communication, or related field (Master's degree preferred) Teaching certification/license in the relevant subject area Proficiency in multimedia production software and digital tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools) Knowledge of current trends, practices, and technologies in media production and digital storytelling Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning, with an emphasis on technology integration Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students Commitment to promoting media literacy, digital citizenship, and ethical technology use Experience working with high school students and/or in an educational setting is preferred.
