CalWest’s Client School in the greater Los Angeles Area seeks a High School Math Teacher to begin July 2024.

CalWest Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification preferred.
Demonstrated experience in teaching high school science, with a focus on honors-level courses.
Strong background in curriculum development and instructional design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
Client School Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, Mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification, preferred.
Demonstrated experience in teaching high school science, with a focus on honors-level courses.
Strong background in curriculum development and instructional design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
Responsibilities
Teaching: Conducting dynamic and interactive Honors Biology and Honors Chemistry classes, fostering a deep understanding of scientific concepts among high school students.
Curriculum Development: Designing and implementing a rigorous and innovative curriculum that aligns with state standards and the school’s academic goals.
Individualized Instruction: Providing personalized instruction to meet the diverse needs of honors-level students and promoting critical thinking skills.
Assessment and Feedback: Implementing effective assessment strategies to measure student progress and providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
Math and STEAM Integration: Potentially teaching math and STEAM classes based on the candidate’s expertise and the school’s curriculum needs.
Salary Range
$60,000 – $100,000
