Position Description

The Graduate Online Admissions Counselor will recruit applicants to Seattle University’s online graduate programs. Through daily outreach, events, and communications, this position will work with prospective students through the admissions process and acceptance to their programs. This position will work under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Graduate Online Programs and contribute to recruitment, admissions, and yield goals for graduate online programs.

Essential Functions:

Manages recruitment for select graduate online programs via prospective student CRM communication plans, following up on email/text campaigns, call lists, recruitment events, yield efforts, and preparing weekly funnel reports.
Meet with prospective students through daily zoom and phone appointments, sharing information about the program, learning about their interest and providing tips on successful application.
Work with program leadership to initiate and participate in recruitment events, including virtual information sessions, virtual meet-ups, and virtual yield events.
Track applicants through each part of the funnel and support them with application completion.
Monitor key performance indicators related to recruitment funnel, events, and yield.
Work with the Assistant Director of Graduate Online Programs and the Assistant Director of Student Success ensure a smooth student experience from admission funnel through matriculation.
Serves on relevant committees and working groups.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience recruiting or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Experience in recruitment and retention for online and hybrid programs
A commitment to outstanding customer service and lifelong education
Demonstrated skill in supporting diverse student populations and commitment to intercultural communication
Ability to flex with changing technologies, processes, and procedures
Excellent active listening skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
A commitment to building an antiracist workplace.
Ability to work in a team environment across multiple departments.
Effectively communicate with colleagues, students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Ability to manage time and hit deadlines
Comfort and experience with learning and using multiple technology applications, including but not limited to chat features, texting, learning management systems, CRMs, student information systems, and event management systems
Facility with MS Office 365 suite, including Excel Experience serving adult and professional students.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Slate (CRM) and PowerBI (data reporting)
Experience with Canvas (LMS)
Experience with Colleague (SIS)

Compensation at a Glance:

Salary Range: $42,900 - $58,500

The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.
