About This Role:

The Associate Director of Recruitment is responsible for meeting targeted growth goals by representing and marketing Lamar University to prospective students through supervision of assigned staff and managing an individual caseload. The Associate Director directs the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of student recruitment and yield activities. This position is expected to formulate, affect, interpret, and implement management policies or operating practices.

What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities

Promote a recruitment strategy, including an annual recruitment plan that is aligned to overall goals of Lamar University within assigned recruitment territory
Collaborate with leadership team to determine yearly and intermittent goals/objectives are designed, measured, and effectively lead
Recommend opportunities to enhance marketing and student services from inquiry through orientation to ensure a good student body is attracted and enrolled
Assist with the planning and execution of special admissions programs and projects
Provide and analyze information in the Student Information System (Banner) and CRM (Slate) for management purposes, strategic decision making, and recruitment strategy
Stay abreast of campus events, current happenings, news items, research, etc. as related to Admissions and collaboration opportunities

Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate university programs and offerings to prospective students

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, load, and transport recruitment materials, displays, and other equipment up to 35 pounds

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
3 years of progressive recruitment, admissions, and/or higher education experience required. Other relevant leadership experience may substitute.
Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Leadership, Business Management, Higher Education, or similar preferred
Prior management and leadership experience preferred
