Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Western New England University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice to support and expand the programs new Distance Learning Pathway. The position will be at the Assistant Professor rank. This 12-month position offers a rewarding opportunity to be a member of an innovative and vibrant student-centered academic program. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has graduated several classes of professional students and is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Faculty candidates should possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching, service, and scholarship.

Applicants must have a Pharm.D. degree, completed a post-doctoral residency OR have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a health care setting, and be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Prior experience as a faculty member at a school/college of pharmacy is desirable, as is demonstrated strength in teaching at the higher education level. The successful candidate will be required to directly support students in the Distance Learning Pathway; identify and implement new opportunities to strengthen the pharmacy curriculum; teach students as assigned; have a scholarship plan; and perform service to the College, University and community.
